Description: Summary of provenance: the 5” mok was started by a father of a friend of charles bailey and completed by charles bailey who then sold it to malcolm mitchell (durban society of model engineers)..

Malcolm mitchell worked on the boiler system for several years to refine the procured drawings as he considered that some of the draughting could be improved. The boiler certificate is dated 1983 and the maid has been steamed several times till 1990s.

There are two injectors, one on each side of the footplate. There is a front firebox. There is a bypass valve on the footplate in the driver cabin. The boiler was tested to 150 lb per square inch. The safety valve is set for runs at 90 lb per square inch.

Copper boiler. There are spare injectors available. There are other spare parts as well.
