This is a sirius that is about 65 years old. built by stuart for the m.o.d. to power the alco firefly generating set, hence the names have been machined off of the sides of the casting. after the war those not used were sold off as surplus, and that is where i believe this one came from, it is fitted with drain taps and lubricator it even has holes in the big end cap screws for locking wire (i used loctite) it has been fitted with a heavier flywheel it runs superbly on a small amount of air. there are no holes drilled in the casting for cylinder lagging. i have no way of running it on steam. for more pictures and a video clip of it running you can email me. p&p; in the uk will be �10 ....
