3 1/2" Gauge Coal-fired Tich Locomotive

3 1/2" gauge coal-fired tich slip-eccentric valve gear built to the popular "tich" design by lbsc. serialised in "model engineer" magazine in 1948 as a beginner's engine. silver-soldered superheated copper boiler, fed by axle pump and auxiliary hand pump in side tank. slide valve cylinders with mechanical lubricator. slip-eccentric valve gear. brakes fitted with screw type lever in cab. the motion work turns freely on compressed air. the paintwork is functional. middle part of rear cab panel removes for easier firing. comes with a well made bespoke carrying cradle. new boiler certificate, expires august 2013. length: 15".
