Exhibition Standard

We have for sale a magnificent steam engine. it is based on a paddle steamer of the late 19th century. as you can see from the photograph it is engineered to a very high standard ( we think to an exhibition standard). these are the approximate specifications - flywheel 3 1/2", cylinders 3" long 2" in diameter, 1" stroke cylinder, bore 3/4", engines length 11" , 7" wide and 5" high. the wooden base is 13" by 8" and the total weight is 15 pounds. well presented in a fine display case. this engine has been test run on compressed air and steam runs very smoothly with a nice exhaust beat. it runs in both directions, reversible by means of the hand wheel. this engine is fitted with stephenson's reverse linkage also incorporating drain cox piston valves. if you would like more information please e-mail or you would like more photographs.
